I just read an article on MSNBC.com about a legislator calling migrant workers "illiterate peasants." Yeah, he's an insensitive jerk, but the author of the article said that he was referring to migrant Mexicans. Do only people from Mexico emigrate to the US and work? NO! There are 18 other Hispanic nationalities represented in the US. Mexico is of course the best of all of them, but I think it's really rude when people refer to any Hispanic person as "Mexican." I'm pretty sure they don't like it either.
Also, I'm procrastinating writing my presentation for senior seminar tomorrow.
