A beautiful day

It's April 16 again, but this time the sun is shining, you can hear people laughing, and there is a blanket of peace that encircles VT. We're still sad and hurt and we will always remember, but the sense of hope has lifted us to higher, safer ground. I know we will never make up for the amazing talents that we lost with those 32 souls, but as individuals and as a community we can preserve each of their lives by continuing what they loved to do. Volunteering, academic excellence, being a kind sibling, being tolerant and understanding - all of these describe our fallen friends. As Hokies United we should come together to promote these qualities and our school motto, Ut Prosim. With much love,
